True dat. I sometimes come across attorneys whose litigation positions are so contemptible, and whose conduct is so vile (this attorney meets both criteria, for reasons I didn't explain in the post), that it takes all I have to continue acting the gentleman. But I still do it because that's just my personal style even when I'm being attacked, and I remain convinced that it is this style which ultimately prevails over the "bully" style in the litigation context.
