Google Desktop uses Google's search technology to search Word documents, e-mails stored in Outlook, and other sorts of information that is stored on your hard drive. There's more in an Associated Press story (via FindLaw) titled "Google's New Program Searches Hard Drives," by Michael Liedtke. Meanwhile, some are raising some security and privacy concerns.
