This year, for the first time ever, law students can attend the ABA Techshow for free. It's taking place in Chicago from April 20-22. Here's why it's important:
ABA TECHSHOW offers more than 50 education and training sessions in sixteen different tracks. Sessions are designed to help people at various skill levels learn to make the most effective use of technology in their legal setting. Whether you are an IT novice or a technocrat, a solo practitioner or a large firm lawyer, ABA TECHSHOW provides programming options that are sure to challenge your thinking and expand your knowledge.
In addition to the top-rated educational opportunities, ABA TECHSHOW offers a dazzling technology expo featuring the latest and greatest in legal IT. Attend this year, and you'll discover why ABA TECHSHOW has become the world's leading legal technology conference!
You can learn more about the ABA Techshow here.

I suspect that most Chicago-area law students won't appreciate what a great opportunity this is and won't take advantage since it is so close fo finals. But the chance to hear some world-class legal tech speakers and to see all of the offerings on the vendor floor (for free)is worth taking a break from the books to attend. Besides, with any luck, you can pick up enough free pens and highlighters to get through the entire fall semsester.
