The new federal rules on electronic discovery, which become effective December 1, have been adopted in full in New Jersey state courts. Other states that have adopted the new rules (or have a similar set of e-discovery rules already in place) are California, Maryland, and Texas. A handful of other states are also deciding whether to incorporate the new federal rules into state practice.
